Current skin-care routine

Girls just wanna have fuUUUUnnnN… and flawless, glowing, clear skin.

I’ve been obsessed with skincare for a few years now. Before College I was a tragic mess who used soap + water, and thought everything would be okay. Now I spend all of my paychecks buying various products in hopes to truly glow. My routine changes often because I’m always experimenting, but here are some products that I believe work in my favor.

Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser ($18)

I swear by this hoe. No joke, I’m on my third bottle. When you put it on your skin without water it’ll take your make-up off…. this is a lazy girls dream. It’s safe to use on your eyelashes to take your mascara off due to it’s properties which is a plus in my book because I have v. sensitive eyes. This cleanser is super gentle, and I recommend it to everyone.

Lush Herbalism ($16)

I’ve never heard any hype about this product. As an oily skin gal I really feel like this works for me. It exfoliates and deep cleans to to soak up excess oils. I always wash my face with this before parties, and ppl always compliment my skin (say mA). I’m not sure where Lush ranks on the “real” skin experts totem pole, but their products haven’t failed me yet.

Lancer The Method: Polish ($75)

I bought this not too long ago because one of my friends told me it would change my life. So far my life is the same, but my skin is softer than ever. It includes pure minerals and pumpkin + pomegranate enzymes to gently and effectively remove surface debris and dull, dry surface cells. It’s definitely a luxury due to the steep price point (if it makes you feel better the bottle is huge), but if anything get a sample from Sephora and test it out for the heck of it.

Cosrx Bha Blackhead Power Liquid ($16)

Okay so I follow this one blogger (Erin), and basically I use everything she uses. I’ve never met her, but I blindly trust her and I buy everything she recommends. She wrote about this product so naturally I bought it. I like the product so far because I have oily, acne prone skin and this unclogs ur skin so issa win for me.

Cosrx Snail Essence ($19)

I mess with Cosrx because I can get skincare that works without having to shell out $1000 and my first born child. I like the consistency of this product more than the blackhead liquid. Snail Mucin is meant to repair, heal, and hydrate your skin. I feel very glowy after putting this product on in the morning.

Unbleached Cleaning Pads ($8)

Okay, stop what you’re doing right now and order these! If you don’t trust me on anything trust me on this. Every night I get to wipe my makeup off with soft pillow cushions. These are my one true love.

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water ($8)

After using makeup remover and my glossier cleanser I apply micellar water to a cleaning pad to get the remaining gunk off my face. You’d be surprised by what’s left. There are other brands that make this stuff but this is what I happen to use.

Curology ($20 a month)

So the first month of this product is only $5 so everyone should try it out for the hell of it. You answer a questionnaire to describe your current problems, habits, skin type, etc. Then you upload a current picture of your skin so a Curology provider can determine your prescription.  I tried it out because some of the before and after pictures on their site shook my world. At first I felt like it was too strong, but my skin got used to it. Plenty of people say it’s their secret weapon to combating acne. I just started month 2 but I’ll keep y’all posted. I used to go to the dermatologist (A SHAM. She told me to use Cetaphil..), and this is like the better older sister version to that treachery.

The Ordinary: AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ($7)

This is one of my newfound favorites. The Ordinary is on it’s way to taking over the world with it’s affordable skincare products. I bought some of their other products, but this is def my favorite out of the bunch. Truth be told this product burns, but in a way that makes you feel like it’s working. It makes you look bright af, reduces your pores, and dries out bumps. Beauty is pain, amiright?

The Ordinary: 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ($9.80)

I haven’t been using this product consistently, but if you’re looking to introduce an oil into your life rose hip seed is the way to go. If you’re putting coconut oil on your face.. please stop immediately.

Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence ($44)

So I got a sample of this in my Sephora box, and I’m obsessed. I look like a dewy refreshed lil queen after a few sprays. A dupe of this would definitely be cult-favorite Mario Badescu Facial Spray, which I also use often.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17)

Truth be told, this hoe smells like nail polish remover. I take that as a sign that it’s really strong and is working. Put it on and night and bam! ya pimple is gone the next day.

Mask of Magnaminty ($28)

Dis my baby. This is the perfect sleepover mask. It feels fab on your skin as it contains peppermint oil which leads to a cooling sensation.

Origin Rose Clay Mask ($26)

Got this as a gift not too long ago and I’m a fan. A 2-in-1 purifying mask and skin refiner. I love the feeling of clay masks hardening on my face.

Yogi Skin Detox Tea

This could 100% be a placebo, nonetheless it tastes great. My favorite tea flavor! I love Yogi tea purely due to the fact that there are inspirational quotes on each bag. Regular tea bags just don’t do it for me anymore. I’m super into tea and I like to believe this tea is part of my 2017 glow up. I normally pick this up when I end up at Whole Foods.

So here’s what I’ve been using lately. As always, thanks for reading. I’m blown away every time someone tells me they keep up with my blog. If you have products you swear by let me know! I’m always looking to try out new skincare. There are so many items on my wish-list I have yet to try. Once I get my hands on them I’ll let y’all know what I think. If you hate everything I recommended, yikes can’t help ya.

Also girlies don’t forget to take into account that perfect skin also takes a healthy diet, gallons of water, and numerous duas.
